Dr. Suchan is a registered doctoral psychologist (SK #1100) with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and has her Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE), which allows her to diagnose psychological disorders. She practices in the areas of Adult Clinical Psychology and Health Rehabilitation. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina and has trained at various sites within Regina during her education. She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and Psychology Association of Saskatchewan, and enjoys regularly consulting with a close group of fellow psychologists.

Dr. Suchan’s practice is focused on assessing and treating: obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety, panic, phobias), depressive disorders, and perinatal mental health concerns.

 

Dr. Suchan will work with you to find out what you would like to gain from your therapy experience. She will utilize evidence-based treatments to serve your unique needs, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), prolonged exposure (PE), and behavioural activation.

 

On a personal note, Dr. Suchan lives in Regina with her husband, two young children, and their cranky cat. She enjoys travelling, walking around Wascana lake, and drinking giant mugs of coffee on her deck during the summer. She is an avid plant enthusiast and is learning the ropes at gardening during Saskatchewan’s short growing season.
