
Joanna is currently a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina. During her Master’s training, she completed an 8-month supervised practicum at the University of Regina’s Psychology Training Clinic, where she conducted psychodiagnostic assessments and provided Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Unified Protocol (UP), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to individuals across the lifespan, presenting with various concerns. Joanna also completed an 8-month practicum at Prairie Psychology Services in Regina, where she conducted psychological assessments for members of Regina Police Services and Royal Canadian Mounted Police and provided CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT for Eating Disorders to an adult population.
Over the summer of 2026, Joanna completed a 3-month supervised practicum at Hillside Centre, Tertiary Mental Health in Kamloops, where she conducted neuropsychological assessments for adults and older adults in an inpatient setting. These assessments are conducted to assist with diagnostic clarification, provide baseline functioning, and determine functional capacity for individuals with various psychotic disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar and related disorders, substance-use disorders, traumatic brain injury, mild and major neurocognitive disorders, ADHD, ASD, as well as factitious disorder and malingering.
Joanna will begin a practicum at The Owens Group and Greenspace Psychology in August 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Owens, where she will be conducting neuropsychological and mental health assessments.
